Scientific and statistic evidence clearly shows that everybody needs to embrace more sustainable, sensible building materials - the current construction methods, residential and commercial, are not sustainable enough or not at all, are not based on renewable raw materials and the predominant building materials - concrete, steel, plastics and glass etc. - require vast amounts of energy to be produced, mostly from non-renewable energy sources.

We can and do propose better, modern alternatives, that are respecting sustainable principles and are focused on renewable raw materials.

The introduction of CLT / cross laminated timber / solid wood panel construction, opened up exceptional possibilities for spatial design and architecture - from small residential projects to very large commercial or industrial proportions - while respecting sustainable principles, focusing on a renewable material - WOOD.

The monolithic character of the solid wood / CLT / cross laminated timber panels allows for a very efficient, innovative and fast construction, and can cover a wider range of aesthetic and technical requirements than concrete - additionally, wood is the only natural, renewable and sustainable building material, which is 100% ecologically reusable and effectively reduces CO2 emissions, a carbon sink.

As creative leaders we are especially responsible to engage these new possibilities and propose new solutions -  THE WOODBUILDING  ( CH_S_01 ) project, completed 2014 in southern Switzerland, was the first freestanding building we created from idea to completed building, showcasing the material and construction principles, establishing our vision as a brand - THE WOODBUILDING ® - a registered brand name that is synonymous with future- oriented, sustainable solid wood buildings that we develop with a dedication to the highest quality standards and a holistic design vision - from draft to completed building.
